Michael Hickey's masks are incredible in their detail and personality, and the shows created by Michael and Artistic Director Sandra Lee Hughes mix fantasy, history and culture from across continents and millenia. View our brochure Planet of the Bees Over 25 of the United States and several European countries have reported a scary disappearance of honey bees from their hives. It is not known whether this is due to a disease, mites, or the fact that cell phones use the same frequency as bees, and this is disorienting them so they can't find their way back to their own hive. Since honey bees are responsible for the pollination of over 90 crops, this could affect our food supply soon! This project is a start in making people aware of what is going on around them in nature, and how we are affecting other species. The Futral Road Charter Elementary School along with my client Gateway Productions, recently enacted a play about the bees, as shown at left. The Bee Project website, linked below, is a source of information about the plight of the bees, with links to more information, and suggestions on what we can do to help solve this problem.
